Awesome podcast. Hilarious way of introducing the podcast as one with “a butt plug in it”. Excellent analysis of how this movie differs a lot from other films with overtones of rape culture. I never looked at it like that, but it makes a lot of sense.
I think you misinterpreted how much in control Heather is. The film’s irony is that she THINKS she’s in control and can make everything work out. But she’s as lost and helpless as the other two. And I thought she was as scared as Josh and Mike; she just does a better job of hiding it, for a while. Excellent podcast anyway.
yea, the THINKING she’s in control part is important, and definitely by the end she is nowhere near it. thanks for listening! glad you enjoyed the episode.
