The 1963 version of THE HAUNTING is a classic, and much better than the abysmal 1999 remake, which relied too heavily on cheesy special effects. The ’63 version’s director, Robert Wise, directed two other great horror films : CURSE OF THE CAT PEOPLE and THE BODY SNATCHER, both made in the ’40s.
